1. Introduction

Great Sky, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") is a photonic hardware company founded in 2023 in Boulder, Colorado, that develops silicon photonic processors for low-energy neural-network inference in data-center environments. The Company operates the website ingreatsky.com (the "Service"), which is primarily informational in nature: it describes our processor technology, research approach, and evaluation kit program, and it provides a partner portal for qualified data-center operators who participate in our processor evaluation program.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ingreatsky.com and through direct communications with us, how we use that information, and the rights available to you under applicable law. Because ingreatsky.com is a hardware research and evaluation site rather than a consumer product with end-user accounts, the personal data we handle is limited largely to professional contact information submitted voluntarily by visitors and the credentials of evaluation-program partners.

The Company is based at 1050 Walnut Street, Suite 300, Boulder CO 80302 and can be reached at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you submit directly, including:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number) when you fill out our contact form, submit an evaluation kit request, or reach out about a research or press inquiry;
  • Professional context you choose to share (employer name, role, project background relevant to photonic inference evaluation);
  • The content of messages you send us via the contact form or by email;
  • Login credentials (email address and password) if you hold or request a partner portal account for the evaluation program.

We do not collect financial account data, government identification numbers, health data, biometric data for identification purposes, or precise geolocation (GPS-level coordinates). Partner portal accounts hold only the professional login credentials necessary to access that portal.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit ingreatsky.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:

  • IP address and approximate location (city/region level);
  • Browser type, operating system, device class;
  • Pages visited, referring URLs, time on page;
  • Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5).

2.3 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data

ingreatsky.com is directed at data-center infrastructure professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. How We Use Information

Because the Great Sky site is informational and evaluation-program focused rather than transactional, our data use is correspondingly narrow. We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to evaluation kit requests, research partnership inquiries, and press or career inquiries submitted through our contact form or by email;
  • Operate and maintain the partner portal for current evaluation-program participants;
  • Improve ingreatsky.com (page performance, content relevance to infrastructure engineering and photonics research audiences);
  • Send service updates and, with your consent where required by law, communications about the evaluation kit program;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access to the partner portal;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.

4. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (website hosting, transactional email delivery, anonymized site analytics) under contractual confidentiality terms that prohibit independent use of your data;
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property;
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, maintain partner login sessions, and measure usage at an anonymized aggregate level. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. For details and your choices, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Evaluation kit inquiry records are retained for the duration of the evaluation engagement and up to 24 months thereafter. Partner portal credentials are retained while the account is active and are deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request. Inactive contact records are purged after 24 months. Server access logs are retained 90 days, then aggregated.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege access controls for partner portal data. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, and the ability to limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Colorado Residents (CPA)

Under the Colorado Privacy Act ("CPA"), Colorado residents have the following rights with respect to personal data we control. Because the Great Sky evaluation program is headquartered in Boulder, we treat Colorado privacy rights as a first-tier obligation.

9.1 Your CPA Rights

  • Right of Access: confirm whether we are processing your personal data and obtain a copy.
  • Right to Correction: correct inaccuracies, considering the nature and purposes of processing.
  • Right to Deletion: request deletion of personal data concerning you.
  • Right to Data Portability: obtain a portable copy where technically feasible (up to twice per year).
  • Right to Opt Out: opt out of (a) targeted advertising, (b) sale of personal data, and (c) profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

9.2 Universal Opt-Out Mechanism

We honor browser-transmitted universal opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control ("GPC"), as a request to opt out of sale and targeted advertising. Configuring GPC in your browser is sufficient -- no separate request is required.

9.3 How to Exercise

Submit a request by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 45 days; one 45-day extension is available where reasonably necessary, with notice.

9.4 Appeal

You may appeal a denial by replying to our response email. If we maintain the denial, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov.

9.5 California Visitors

If you are a California resident visiting from another state, you may also exercise the rights granted under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a CCPA / CPRA request, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request."

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice on the Service.
